Over the last 15 years, the ProcESS group has developed many intensified reactors and separators, such as ultrasound-assisted, photochemical, electrochemical and flow modulated systems, both in batch and continuous mode. The promising technologies are now assembled into the recently established HITEC, a platform for the industry to understand how newly developed technologies can be used to improve their existing processes and to become familiar with their operation.

In this role, you will drive the enhancement of sono-, photo-, and electrochemical setups, with a focus on scaling up from laboratory to mini pilot plant scale within our pilot facility. Your primary responsibility will be to validate these technologies for commercial viability, placing specific emphasis on demonstrating their effectiveness in selected multiphase processes, including liquid-liquid extraction, crystallization, and chemical degradation for wastewater treatment. You will collaborate closely with the HITEC coordinator and the two supervising professors.
