Are you inspired to develop model-driven approaches to automate the design and operation of embedded and cyber-physical systems in a systematic manner? Then this could be your next exciting new career opportunity!
Leading competitive and effective high-tech industry moves towards model-driven design methods and design-automation solutions to reduce time-to-quality. This process requires development of novel methods, models and algorithms to support automation of the entire product life-cycle, from the design phase to operational phases. This position will be devoted to research that supports the various facets of model-driven design with an application to cyber-physical systems (for instance supervisory control) and embedded (data processing) systems. We envision the need for compositional methods that focus on extra-functional aspects, such as performance, resource budgets, security, or energy, pursuing hybrid, knowledge-driven and machine-learning-based, approaches.
As a newly appointed faculty member, you will be working in the Electronics Systems group at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e). The group aims to provide a scientific basis for design trajectories of electronic systems, ranging from digital circuits to cyber-physical systems. You would contribute to our research on model-driven engineering. Next to your research expertise, your educational skills are very important as you will develop and teach courses at both undergraduate and graduate level in English. You will be involved in supervising Bachelor, Master, EngD, and PhD candidates.
Electronic Systems group
The Electronic Systems (ES) group consists of six full professors, three associate professors, five assistant professors, several postdocs, approximately 40 EngD and PhD candidates, and support staff. The ES group is world-renowned for its design automation and embedded systems research. Our research is organized in three sub-programs that cover the engineering, system and circuit perspectives: Model-driven engineering, smart electronic systems, and digital nano-electronics. ES has strong collaborations with industry, research institutes and other universities. Several of its staff members have a second affiliation besides their TU/e-ES affiliation. The group is a multi-cultural team, with staff members of seven different nationalities and students from all over the world.
A meaningful job in a dynamic and ambitious university, in an interdisciplinary setting and within an international network. You will work on a beautiful, green campus within walking distance of the central train station. In addition, we offer you:
