YOUR TASKS

• You will perform high quality research in the field of embedded model-predictive control for physical dynamic systems by publishing in high-impact journals, and attending conferences. 
• You will research and develop new controllers and advance on the methodological side in the field of control systems technology, you will validate and benchmark your controllers on robotic and mechatronic applications. 
• You will create impact towards deploying innovative controllers in real world environments. 
• You will supervise Master thesis students and junior doctoral students. 
• You will take the lead in supervising strategic research projects and collaborate with other academic partners, you will take the lead in supervising applied research projects in collaboration with industrial partners. 
• You will take the lead in the ideation of research projects, both strategic and applied. 
• Describe the range of tasks in a sufficiently specific way.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• You hold a Master’s degree in Engineering
• You are highly motivated to collaborate with colleagues, academic and industrial partners.
• You have experience in model-predictive controllers and their implementation in robotic and mechatronic systems.  

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU

• We offer you a contract of definite duration for the period from 01/03/2025-28/02/2027
• Your contract will start on 1/03/2025 at the earliest.
• Your remuneration will be determined by salary scale WM1 to WM4 (if you hold a Master’s degree) or salary scale PD1 to PD4 (if you hold a doctorate).  Click here for more information about our salary scales.
