We are looking for a motivated research assistant that will work on biophysical principles underlying host-pathogen interactions.
The project will be performed at the Cell Signalling, Immunity and Nanoimaging (CSI:Nano) Lab, located at SciLifeLab and Karolinska Institute at the Department of Women's and Children's Health. SciLifeLab and KI are excellent places to carry out basic biomedical research with clinical potential. Our lab is in the intersection of biology, chemistry, physics and engineering, aiming to reveal the molecular secrets of physiology and diseases. The candidate will greatly benefit from this interdisciplinary environment and unique infrastructure.
This position is for 1 year 100% employment.

The research assistant will study membrane biophysics using state-of-the art methodologies.

Qualified to be employed as a research assistant is one who has obtained MSc degree by the time of start date of the position.

Strong expertise in biophysics and membrane biology (model membrane preparations and cell membrane manipulations) Strong expertise in advanced imaging and flow cytometry Expertise in basic cell and molecular biology techniques Moreover, independent working skills, teamwork spirit and willingness to contribute to the existing projects
