Project

The Department of Work and Organization Studies (WOS) Antwerpen is looking for a PhD Student (maximum duration of 4 years) working on the topic: “Work & Technology: Implications for work relations.”
Following the COVID-19 period and the advent of artificial intelligence, organizations are continuously evolving the information and communication technologies (ICTs) used to perform work. These trends raise questions concerning how these new ICTs will impact work and workers. New research is sorely needed to understand the effect and consequences of new ICTs on individuals, organizations, and labour markets. This PhD will more specifically focus on how ICTs shape relations, both at work (e.g., How is leadership performed in presence of avatars? How can organizations and managers still motivate and engage their collaborators when interacting in an online context?).
