About the IAP: The UM6P Institute of Applied Physics constitutes a dynamic community comprising faculty members,students, postdocs, and administrative and technical staff, all dedicated to UM6P’s mission as a student-centered research university. The institute's research focus lies in establishing advanced research andeducation environments, nurturing upcoming generations of physicists and faculty, particularly emphasizingCondensed Matter Physics, Nanoscience, Photonics, Nuclear, Cosmology, and Particle Physics. 

About the EPS: The UM6P Engineering Physics School (EPS), established by UM6P, stands as a premier engineering physicsschool in Morocco. Over a three-year program, it trains physicists to emerge as future entrepreneurs, leaders,and professionals in the Kingdom and across Africa. The program awards an EPS engineering degree, and itseducation and research are developed at the UM6P Institute of Applied Physics. 

Job description:

Teaching: Design and deliver undergraduate and/or graduate courses in optics, photonics, laser systems, and related subjects. Develop a curriculum that meets departmental and institutional standards.

Advising: Mentor and advise undergraduate and graduate students in their academic and research pursuits. Supervise graduate research projects and theses.

Research: Conduct original research in optics, photonics, or related fields. Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at conferences. Obtain external funding (grants) to support research activities.

Service: Participate in departmental, college, and university committees. Contribute to academic and administrative duties as assigned.

Collaboration: Foster collaborations with industry, government agencies, and other academic institutions to enhance research and educational opportunities. Engage with the broader community through outreach activities, public lectures, and educational programs.

Qualifications: Typically requires a Ph.D. in Optics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Demonstrated research expertise in optics, photonics, or laser systems. Teaching experience at the university level is often preferred.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of students, faculty, and stakeholders. Leadership qualities to lead research projects and collabobate effectively.
