We are looking for a professor in Human-Computer Interaction to join our Computer Science and Networks Department (INFRES).
The selected candidate will join the DIVA team (Design, Interaction, Visualization, and Applications), a multidisciplinary research group in the LTCI research lab and the Computer Science & Networking department of Télécom Paris, which are a part of the Institut Polytechnique de Paris (IP Paris). It is a leader in the French and International HCI, Visualization, and VR communities. It publishes regularly in top-tier venues such as ACM CHI & UIST, and IEEE VIS & VR, and benefits from extensive academic and industrial collaborations.
The core DIVA team conducts research in a wide range of HCI and Visualization on topics including interaction techniques and devices, visualization, VR, malleable software/end-user programming, gestural and mobile interaction, and tools to support education at scale. It collaborates frequently with researchers in the social sciences, design, and the broader computer science fields, within Télécom Paris and IP Paris, within the broader Paris region (Université Paris-Saclay, Sorbonne Université), nationally, and internationally.
Your main missions will be to:
The successful candidate will lead Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) research and is expected to develop and reinforce the team’s leadership in this area and to contribute to the team’s multidisciplinary focus. Candidates should have a track record of high-quality publications in HCI and/or related fields.
Candidates who are experts in other areas of HCI will also be considered, depending on their track record.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a habilitation to direct research or an equivalent level, you will need to have in-depth knowledge, both theoretical and applied, in the field but also a knowledge of the academic and industrial ecosystem at international level (fluency in English is therefore necessary).
