About the SnT...
SnT is a leading international research and innovation centre in secure, reliable and trustworthy ICT systems and services. We play an instrumental role in Luxembourg by fueling innovation through research partnerships with industry, boosting R&D investments leading to economic growth, and attracting highly qualified talent.
We're looking for people driven by excellence, excited about innovation, and looking to make a difference. If this sounds like you, you've come to the right place!
The successful candidate will join the Parallel computing and Optimisation Group (PCOG) research group, led by Dr. Grégoire Danoy. PCOG conducts research in parallel computing, search and optimisation techniques, to provide efficient, scalable and robust solutions to state-of-the-art, large-scale discrete/combinatorial problems. PCOG's expertise ranges from the design of novel optimisation, swarm intelligence and machine learning algorithms, to their implementation on massively multi-core systems (CPUs), accelerators (GPUs) and mobile systems (e.g., drones). The main application domains include industry 4.0, FinTech, HPC, cloud and data analytics, smart cities and autonomous robots swarms.
Your Role...
This is a 2-year fully funded postdoctoral position within the Parallel computing and Optimisation Group (PCOG). PCOG has long term research expertise in designing and experimenting optimisation and machine learning techniques to tackle problems in the field of autonomous systems, such as mobility management and autonomous robot swarms.
The Research Associate will conduct cutting-edge research in optimisation and machine learning, with a special focus on automated algorithm design, to tackle mobility challenges in the field of autonomous systems for land and air.
