You will work with a passionate and active team focused on improving the efficiency, resilience, and sustainability of future transport systems. In the team, we are interested in state-of-the-art models, methods, and technologies to enhance transport systems. Our ongoing work covers the following topics, and we hope you can enhance or complement our research:
We hope you are a self-motivated researcher who values quality. We will prioritize candidates who have 1) top-tier publications (published, accepted, or under review), 2) experience in optimization or machine learning. We would like to know where your interest lies. Therefore, you are required to submit a research statement where you describe not only your previous research but also your research plan during the postdoc.
English is the working language, so the candidate is expected to have strong communication skills in English, both oral and written. You will carry out research within the research area of urban mobility systems, at Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering.
Main responsibilities
The major responsibility of the postdoc is to conduct research. You are also expected to join group activities (such as research meetings), so you should work efficiently both independently and in collaboration with a team.
Qualifications
The applicant should have a PhD degree in transport, operations research, applied mathematics, computer science, or similar topics. Experience with optimization, data-driven or machine-learning skills is meritorious.
The candidate must have the PhD degree in hand before enrollment, but it is not required during the application. This means graduating PhD students are also welcome to apply for the position, but we expect the candidate to join us in 2025 or earlier, with some flexibilities. Candidates who received their PhD degree within the last three years will be prioritized.
Contract terms
This postdoc position is a full-time temporary employment for two years, with the possibility of extending it to three years conditional to finance.
