YOUR TASKS

  • You will conduct high-level scientific research on the hygrothermal behavior of building materials, combining experimental research and numerical modeling.
  • You independently develop a research track for the CARBOOST project on innovative materials, looking specifically at thermal and hygrothermal performance.
  • You work closely with the partners in the consortium, and write scientific reports and journal publications on your research.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • You have a Master of Science degree in Engineering: architecture
  • You have several years of experience in scientific research on hygrothermal behavior of materials and building components. You have experience with experimental research on material properties, and processing these data into scientific publications.
  • You have extensive experience with numerical simulations with the software Delphin. You can set up batch calculations via HPC infrastructure and have experience with post-processing of large data sets. 
  •  You have a keen interest in scientific research in general, and hygrothermal behavior of materials in particular. 
  •  You speak and write fluently in Dutch and English.

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU

  • We offer you a contract of definite duration for the period from 18 months 
  • Your contract will start on 1/07/2025 at the earliest.
  • Your remuneration will be determined by salary scale WM1 to WM4 (if you hold a Master’s degree) or salary scale PD1 to PD4 (if you hold a doctorate).  Click here for more information about our salary scales.
