For the winter term of 2025/26, we are seeking a professor (m/f/d) for the degree program Artificial Intellgience at IU International University, limited to 2 years at our campus in Berlin, full-time (5 days on campus) or part-time (4 days on campus), starting on October 1st, 2025.
Your tasks
- You represent the field of Artificial Intellgience in teaching and research within the bachelor's degree program and become part of an extensive network in the field of higher education (For more insights, see the coursebook).
- You develop and lead face-to-face lectures on Campus and are responsible for the individual supervision of our students during their exams and while they prepare their thesis.
- You teach practice-oriented fundamental knowledge in Artificial Intellgience and are capable of training our students in the following areas: Machine Learning and Deep Learning.
- You contribute to the creative development of teaching formats within IU’s didactic concept and collaborate closely with colleagues to further develop these formats.
At IU International University, we focus on delivering practical knowledge. Therefore, we are looking for an expert in Artificial Intellgience with professional experience, scientific expertise, and didactic skills that enhance the teaching at IU.
- You successfully completed a university degree in Artificial Intellgience or a related field with outstanding academic performance and hold a relevant doctoral degree (Ph.D.).
- You have at least five years of practical work experience, including three years outside university, and may have already gained initial experience in academic teaching.
- You demonstrate your expertise in the relevant subject areas through publications or projects.
- You work team-oriented and reliably and are committed to in-person teaching while also being proficient in conducting virtual lectures.
- You reside permanently in Germany.
- You have English language skills at C1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
The employment requirements are governed by the Higher Education Law Thüringen.
