The Leuven Institute for Healthcare Policy (LIGB), established in October 2015 within the Faculty of Medicine at KU Leuven, brings together a broad range of expertise in healthcare management and policy. Within its Quality and Patient Safety pillar, the institute conducts a variety of research projects in close collaboration with healthcare organizations. These projects are supported by a multidisciplinary team and are complemented by training initiatives. We work closely with numerous Flemish hospitals, striving together for the highest quality care for patients, their families, and healthcare professionals.
As part of our focus on quality and patient safety, one of our key research lines addresses care pathways and variations in care processes. To support this work, we are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic doctoral researcher.
We offer a full-time (100%) appointment for an initial period of 1 year, with the possibility of renewal up to 4 years in total. The goal of the position is to complete a PhD at KU Leuven.
