Change starts here!
The School of Business and Economics conducts research and education in business administration, economics, statistics, and tourism studies. We contribute with entrepreneurial thinking and sustainable solutions for complex organizational and societal problems. We take pride in our long tradition of collaboration with the surrounding society and are accredited by AACSB.
Sustainable finance and new technologies, such as fintech, AI, and blockchain technology, create both opportunities and challenges, leading to new ways of investing, analyzing risks, and financing projects. Experience also shows that during major technological shifts, such as the current wave of digitalization and AI, financial markets play a crucial role in ensuring that innovation and entrepreneurship reach their full potential. To promote sustainable economic development, it is essential to understand how these changes impact financial markets and the financing opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Key areas include sustainable investments, climate risk management, ESG integration, and SME financing.
The School of Business and Economics is making significant efforts to meet these challenges through innovative research and learning environments, where new technology and sustainability are at the core. Through our Business Lab, we also provide analytical tools and develop solutions that help companies and decision-makers make well-informed strategic financial decisions—decisions that integrate sustainability, profitability, and effective risk management, while also contributing to long-term sustainable and competitive business development.
We offer education at all levels and provide a research environment in financial economics at the intersection of business administration, economics, and statistics. We are now seeking a Professor of Financial Economics with a focus on sustainable financial solutions who wants to be part of this development journey!
