YOUR FUTURE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Planning and implementation of defense strategies for cyber resilience.
- Management and optimization of the external operation of SOC/SIEM services.
- Central monitoring and documentation of IT security-related controls for IT projects.
- Ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems, networks and data through the development and maintenance of security policies, procedures, and tools.
- Remediation of security incidents with the SOC.
- Participation in vulnerability analyses as well as penetration tests.
- Monitoring adherence to guidelines and compliance requirements.
- Responsibility for internal IT security projects to optimize the existing IT security infrastructure.
- Evaluation, training and raising awareness of IT security issues among employees.
- Contact point for employees and external partners in all questions regarding IT security.
- Creation and maintenance of security-related documents (e.g., policies, manuals, checklists).
- Risk analyses and management reporting as part of the SAL risk management.
YOUR PROFILE
- Completed education with focus on IT and information security (FH/Uni) desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of information technology, particularly in the IT security environment.
- Sound knowledge of IT security, IT infrastructures, IT frameworks / standards (e.g., (ISO 27001, ITIL, etc.) as well as the EU-DSGVO.
- Sense of responsibility and operational readyness.
- Analytical way of thinking.
- Precision in the execution of tasks.
- Willingness for ongoing training in the area of IT security.
- Very good knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken.

This position is subject to the Collective Agreement for employees in non-university research (Research CA) starting in occupational group E (E1 salary = EUR 3.520, paid 14 times a year) based on 38,5 hours per week). For this position we offer competitive salaries and additional benefits based on your experience and qualifications, starting with a minimum salary of EUR 61.000 (annual, based on an All-in contract and bonus).
