Associate Professor

Focus: research and teaching
Faculty of Psychology in Warsaw
Department of Clinical Psychology
Teaching hours: 240 hours

Duties:

  • conducting scientific research
  • obtaining funds for scientific research
  • publishing research results in high-scoring journals and monographs
  • improving research workshop
  • conducting teaching classes
  • organizational activities for the benefit of the Department
  • perfecting the workshop of an academic teacher
  • developing original programs of classes
  • organization of the didactic process
  • organization of conferences and scientific seminars

Requirements:

  • possession of a doctoral degree in the social sciences or humanities, in the discipline of psychology and possession of a master's degree in psychology
  • scientific publications (first or corresponding author of a scientific publication for a minimum of 100 points, regular publications in international journals with IF)
  • participation in the implementation of national and international grants (as a manager and/or contractor), acting as a leader in a grant received from external and/or foreign funds)
  • experience in teaching in higher education in clinical psychology such as lectures, seminars, graduate seminars (more than 5 years), including welcome experience in teaching in English
  • experience in organizing the didactic process (including implementation of new didactic programs)
  • experience in preparing teaching materials and in developing new educational programs
  • experience in active participation in foreign scientific conferences
  • experience in the popularization of scientific research results
  • very good knowledge of English and Polish, enabling to conduct classes and independently write publications in these languages
  • computer proficiency and readiness to learn new applications
  • research interests in the area of: mental health, psychological interactions
  • readiness to teach also on weekends
  • declaration of employment at SWPS University as a sub

Required documents:

  • CV with a list of scientific, teaching and organizational achievements (with direct reference to the eligibility criteria stated above), as well as including a description of other professional experience and interests
  • a copy of documents attesting to the attainment of a postdoctoral degree (or an open postdoctoral process with a deadline for completion by September 30, 2025)
  • a statement confirming knowledge of a foreign language at the required level

Formal criteria:

  • academic achievements - 40% of the final score
  • teaching achievements - 40% of the final score
  • organizational or practical achievements - 20% of the final score
