The act of establishing the Faculty of information studies in Novo mesto was passed on 24 th June 2008 by the National assembly of the Republic of Slovenia (by 66 votes to nil). It is the first pillar of the public higher educational system in the region.
The study programmes started taking place in the school year 2008/09, when 122 students are registered: 20 undergraduates of the university study programme, 64 undergraduates of the higher education study programme, 38 postgraduates of the MSc study programme.
