Your role

The postdoctoral researcher will be working under the supervision of Professors V. Anesi, P. Picard, and S. Zanaj. In particular, the Postdoctoral Researcher will be in charge of:

  • Publication of articles in scientific reviews and contributions to conferences
  • Assisting with teaching activities, one to three hours a week and contribute to tutoring students
  • Organizing research events (conferences, workshops, seminars, etc.)

Your profile

We are looking for a candidate with a PhD in Economics, with a strong interest in political-economic theory, urban economics, and their various applications. The ideal candidate will possess: (i) an excellent command of microeconomic tools used in the theoretical analysis of public policy making and urban economics; (ii) a deep understanding of the institutional foundations that shape the development and selection of public and urban economic policies; and/or (iii) deep understanding of political economics and urban economics methods.

More generally, the following requirements apply:

  • Strong interest in public policy and political institutions
  • Solid training in quantitative methods, particularly game theory, and demonstrated experience applying them in research
  • Proven ability to autonomously conduct research at a post-doctoral level
  • Good IT skills
  • Proven ability to work individually as well as part of a team
  • Fluency in either English or French is required. Good understanding of the second language and possibly a third language, German in particular, will be considered an advantage
